How Stable Grid Flooring Works

Where to Use Stable Grids

Stable grids are most effective when deployed at the high-traffic zones where mud concentrates — not necessarily across an entire paddock. Common applications include:

  • Gate areas: Horses congregate at gates, creating some of the most severe mud problems on a property.
  • Around water troughs: Horses splashing and constant spills saturate the ground around water stations.

  3. Interlock panels together starting from one corner, working outward.
  4. The grid can be laid directly on soft or wet ground with no compacted gravel base needed.

Paddock Slab (PS-50-40-4)

  1. Level and compact the installation area.
  2. Optional: lay a PNW30 3oz Non-Woven Geotextile Fabric underlayment for added separation and stability.
  3. Interlock panels starting from a fixed edge, working across the area.
  4. Trim edge panels as needed.
