The Mirafi BXG-series is a biaxial geogrid built to reinforce aggregate bases and stabilize soft subgrade.
Made from punched-and-drawn polypropylene, these rigid geogrids confine aggregate through their apertures, spreading loads and reducing rutting over weak soils. They are used under roads, parking lots, and working platforms for base course reinforcement.
The BXG-series lets designers reduce aggregate thickness and extend service life, providing all-directional stiffness that keeps the base intact under repeated traffic loading.

Why Choose Mirafi BXG120?
5 reasons engineers specify Mirafi BXG120 over generic biaxial geogrids
Heavier Biaxial Grade for More Challenging Subgrade Conditions
Greater tensile capacity than BXG110 for subgrade stabilization and base course reinforcement applications where softer soils or heavier loads require more geogrid stiffness.
True Biaxial Strength in Both Directions Per ASTM D6637
High tensile modulus in both longitudinal and transverse directions provides multi-directional load distribution — unlike inferior geogrids that are weak in one direction.
DOT Pre-Approved in Multiple States Including CALTRANS & Florida FDOT
Mirafi BXG120 appears on state DOT qualified products lists including CALTRANS, Florida FDOT, and Minnesota MnDOT — generic alternatives frequently cannot substitute.
USA-Made, BABA Eligible
Manufactured in Georgia — qualifies for Build America / Buy America requirements on federally funded subgrade reinforcement and road base projects.
High Molecular Weight Polypropylene Resists Creep & Degradation
Same DOT-grade polypropylene used across the Mirafi BXG line — resisting creep, chemical attack, and UV degradation better than lower-grade extruded alternatives.
