Our Berry Compliant Woven Geotextile Fabric – 315 lb is shipped in a long roll and is used as a paver underlayment, for base reinforcement on roadways, driveways and sidewalks, and as a structural support for a retaining wall base. It has excellent tear and puncture resistance and reduces the amount of base materials needed.

This fabric is produced in the USA and meets Berry requirements.

Installation Instructions

    PREPARE SUBGRADE

  • Level and smooth out subgrade. Clear site of sharp objects and large rocks that could puncture fabric during installation.

    • OVERLAP FABRIC

  • Place fabric on area smoothly and pull taut. Overlap 18- 24", depending on subgrade strength. For best results, secure fabric with Fabric Staples by staggering 1.2 staples per square yard, making sure fabric edges are secured in place.

    • ADD GRADED CRUSHED STONE

  • Carefully place at least 4" base material onto fabric (do not drive on fabric) Properly installed SS5 can improve the long-term performance of your project 50-70%.
